Activities under Ek Bharata Shreshtha bharat (EBSB)
National Arts Festival 2023-24 was organized on 14 September 2023 in the premises of PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 3, Ambala Cantonment. This grand festival was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by Shri Varun Mitra, Deputy Commissioner of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan- Gurugram Division. The program was inaugurated by the welcome address of Principal Mr. Amit Arora.
On this occasion, 10 clusters of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Gurugram division – Faridabad, Manesar, Rohtak, Ambala, Chandimandir, Shimla, Bangana, Mandi, Dharamshala, Chamera participated.
The Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) festival included group dances, group songs, display of artefacts and on-the-spot painting competitions. The group dance and group song assigned to the area were related to their paired state. Each participating team showcased the rich heritage and culture, customs and traditions of any state to enable people to understand and appreciate the diversity of India, thereby promoting local flavor and a sense of unity.
The grandeur of the art-fest was enhanced by organizing programs that included vocal classical music, vocal traditional/folk music, instrumental music (percussive/melodic), classical and folk dances; Visual arts (2dimensional/3dimensional), indigenous toys and games; Drama (single act).
The winners of KVS Art Utsav 2023 (Divisional Level) further participated at the National Level in Kolkata. As a final result during the program, Ambala cluster won the first prize in group dance, Mandi cluster won the first prize in group singing, Chandimandir cluster won the first prize in display of artefacts and Rohtak cluster won the first prize in on the spot painting.
Chandimandir Cluster won the first prize in the Vocal Music (Classical) student category in the Kala Utsav programs and Ambala Cluster also won the first prize in the Vocal Music Classical (girls) category.
Chandimandir Cluster got the first prize in Vocal Music Traditional (Students). Chamera Cluster won the first prize in the Vocal Music Traditional (Girls) competition. Instrumental Music Precussive (Student Category) was won by Ambala Cluster and in the Girl Category, Faridabad won. Instrumental Music Melodic competitions were won by Mandi and Chandimandir clusters. The first prize in Classical Dance (Students) was won by Ambala Cluster and the first prize in Classical Dance (Women) was won by Faridabad Cluster.
In folk dance (boys category), Ambala Cluster and Rohtak Cluster won the first prize individually. Chandimandir Cluster and Bangana Cluster won the first prize in the event 2-D Visual Arts (Student Category) individually.
Manesar Cluster and Rohtak Cluster got the first prize in the event Visual Art-3D (Student Category).
The event Swadeshi Sports Toys (Students category) was won by Manesar Cluster, the first prize in Drama Single Acting (Students category) was won by Ambala Cluster and Bangana Cluster respectively.
All these 48 winning participants participated in the National Unity Festival (Art Festival) organized by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Kolkata Division at the national level.
