National Kala Utsav 2023-24 was organised in the premises of PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya No.3, Ambala Cantt on 14 september 2023 The grand celebration was inaugurated by Mr. Varun Mitra, Deputy Commissioner, KVS – Gurugram Region.
10 clusters of KVS Gurugram Region participated on this occasion – Faridabad, Manesar, Rohtak, Ambala, Chandimandir, Shimla, Bangana, Mandi, Dharamshala, Chamera.
Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat (EBSB) celebration included Group Dance, Group song, Display of Artefect and on the Spot- Painting competitions. Group dances and Group Songs were related with their Paired State allotted to the Region. Each participating team showcased the rich heritage and culture, customs and traditions of either state for enabling people to understand and appreciate the diversity that is India, thus fostering a sense of common identity.
Kala-utsav’s grandeur was enhanced with the organising of the events which included Vocal classical Music, Vocal traditional / folk music, Instrumental music (Percussive / Melodic), Classical and folk dance; Visual Arts (2Dimensional / 3 Dimensional), Indigenous Toys and Game; Drama (Solo Acting).
The winners of KVS Kala Utsav 2023 (Regional Level) further participated in KVS Kala Utsav 2023 (National Level) in Kolkata. The final result during the event was – Group dance 1st prize was bagged by Ambala Cluster. Mandi Cluster bagged the 1st prize in group song. Chandimandir cluster won the first prize in Display of Artefacts. The Rohtak cluster won the first prize in on the spot painting.
In the Kala utsav events, the first prize in vocal Music (Classical) male-female was bagged by Chandimandir Cluster for male category. Ambala cluster also won the first prize in Vocal Music Classical (female)
The first prize in Vocal Music Traditional (Male) was bagged by Chandimandir cluster. In Vocal Music Traditional (female) event, Chamera Cluster won the first prize. Instrumental Music Precussive (Male – female Category) was won by Ambala cluster and Faridabad was won by Mandi and chandimandir Cluster. The First prize was won by Ambala Cluster in dance classical dance (male) and Classical dance (female) was won by faridabad cluster.
In the category, Folk Dance (Male- Female), Ambala Cluster and Rohtak cluster won the first prize individually. In the event 2D Visual Art(Male & Female) the First prize was won by chandimandir Cluster and Bangana Cluster individually. First prize in the event visual Art 3D (Male / Female) was bagged by Manesar Cluster and Rohtak Cluster.
The event Indigenous Toys & games (Male-female) was won by Manesar Cluster, Drama solo acting (Male/ Female), the first prize was won by Ambala Cluster and Bangana.
All these 48 winner students participated in National level KVS Rashtriya Ekta Parv being hosted by KVS RO Kolkata.
